I have a felony arrest record but my case is still pending in Cook county. The employment application asks for disclosure on “conviction only’.
What does pre-employment background check show? Since there is no conviction, will the arrest record show up? Will a pending case show up in the background check?

I may be going to school depending on school decision for a nursing maters program RN + CNL.
I have a city ordinance violation for retail theft when I was 16, 1 count minor in possession of alcohol January 2008 and 1 count minor in possession of alcohol dismissed.
I was not able to contact Illinois state board of nursing to question if they feel I would be able to be licensed in IL. I was able to contact a different state and they said absolutely you will have no problem getting licensed. I made them verify and they said that I will be licensed go this school don’t worry about it.
Should I apply to this other state or should I apply to Illinois for licensure? I live in IL. Another factor I am looking at is I may join Navy after the program and when I return after 4 years I want to look at the availability of jobs in an area after the Navy. Is Illinois saturated with nurses? I heard it is hard to find a job in IL, but when people retire IL will be short by 3000 nurses — I do not know if this would be the case after the Navy.

I live in illinois,I would like to see my background check to se if certin things from when I wasyoung are on there or not (there arent soposed to be,but i think they are) I recently interviewed at a job,they said job was mine,then they wouldnt call back or return my calls,I think they checked my illinois background. . . .

it was an arrest for criminal damage to property , but no convictions were made. and it has been close to three years. am looking to expunge the incident.
